Miguel Bonal won three prizes in the Concurso de Juventudes Musicales de España, in the viola da gamba category.

"The First Prize was awarded to the violagambist Miguel Bonal Asensio (Zaragoza, 1999), the second youngest participant. Second Prize went to flautist Rita Rodríguez García (Madrid, 1993). Both will perform concerts on the JM Spain Music Network circuit, two seasons for the first prize and one for the second. In addition, different special prizes have been awarded: the EMCY Prize, the prize awarded by the European Union of Music Competition for Youth, of which the Concurso Juventudes Musicales de España is the only Spanish member, and which went to Miguel Bonal automatically as it was awarded to the winner of the absolute First Prize".
